Do your QuickBooks bookkeeping with Claude
Helprs doesn’t sync to QuickBooks behind your back. Instead, work in one Claude chat that sees both your Helprs records and your QuickBooks company — and Claude does the re-keying, with your approval.
What you’ll need
- Helprs connected to Claude — see Connect Helprs to Claude.
- A QuickBooks Online connector for Claude — the free Meridian connector (easiest) or Intuit’s official QuickBooks MCP server (for accountants comfortable with developer portals).
You’re granting that provider’s connector access to QuickBooks — review its permissions and start read-only until you trust the workflow.
The month-end workflow
With both connectors on, open a new Claude chat:
- Pull the month from Helprs. “From Helprs, list every payment for July with gross, fees, and net, and total them. Also list July’s payouts.”
- Reconcile. “Compare that to QuickBooks Sales for July — which Helprs payments are missing?”
- Book what’s missing, with approval. “Create sales receipts for the missing ones as Service Income, with the Stripe fees to Merchant Fees.” Claude drafts each entry and asks before it writes.
Good habits
- Name the exact month so both systems are queried identically.
- Spot-check the first month against the Helprs Payments page, then it’s a 10-minute ritual.
- Keep Helprs read-only — Claude reads from Helprs and writes to QuickBooks, never the reverse.
